For our Sales Steering and Business Development Team at the Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore we are looking for a motivated and proactive intern (m/f) to support us for 6 months starting in August 2019.

Our responsibilities cover all Lufthansa Group Hub Airlines as we serve as interface for the global headquarters in Frankfurt and regional head offices in Delhi, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo. All interns are fully integrated into the team while working on their own projects as well as supporting the daily business in a dynamic work environment.

As part of the Sales Steering and Business Development Team in Asia Pacific, your tasks may include the following:

  • Analyzing market environments and identifying new sales leads
  • Preparing content and organizational setup of quarterly team meetings overseas
  • Pitching competing carriers and benchmarking Lufthansa Group against them
  • Breaking gained knowledge down in presentations for higher level management
  • Supporting all local departments by providing data and information
  • Gaining insights into the Asian aviation market and different sales departments with Lufthansa Group Airlines
  • Assisting in sales & business development activities
  • Preparing weekly market updates including network and competition development
  • Coordinating relevant market information with regional head offices
  • Supporting ad-hoc projects and organizational duties as needed

Your profile

  • At the date of your internship you have completed the 2nd semester of your study program in business administration or related studies with strong academic performance
  • Enrolled during the whole period of the internship (please attach the current certificate of enrollment) or internship between Bachelor and Master studies (Gap-Year), more information about Gap-Year you can find here:
  • Previous practical experiences/studies/interest in the aviation industry and/or in the sales sector preferred
  • Fluency in English, other foreign languages of advantage
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; very good interpersonal skills
  • International experience, ability and willingness to work in diverse and virtual teams
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure with a high degree of accuracy and organization
  • Strong analytical and conceptual mindset, affinity to numbers
  • High motivation to take on responsibility
